The challenge was to balance large amounts of information, statistics and reporting with a layout that remained elegant and easy to navigate. Inspired by the Library’s iconic octagonal Domed Reading Room, a geometric visual system was developed and paired with a refined navy, slate and cream palette.
My own photography, strong typography and bold data-driven spreads help break up the heavier content and create moments of visual impact throughout. The result turns a traditionally corporate annual report into a cohesive editorial piece that feels distinctly connected to State Library Victoria.
